Where exactly is the grave of the Bodie dog? I don't think I have ever seen it. It's common for people to bury their dogs out in the middle of nowhere though. Between Mammoth Hot Creek and the Whitmore Pool, we recently discovered a grave. When I hiked up to it it was the grave of Doobie Cat. Near Old Mammoth, near the grave or poor Mrs. Townsend who was accidentally shot by her miner husband in the 1800's when he was cleaning his gun, is the grave of a dog that was buried in the in the 1990's.
By the way, Bodie the dog, the ony dog I ever knew named Bodie, was a dog that roamed the streets of Randsburg and had been adopted as the town dog.
