Well that kind of helps, I really think color is more important. If you will be renting a Teal SUV with woodgrain sides, and the red interior, make sure nobody sees you. :-)
I was really wondering if it was a 4 wheel-drive with low range. I have driven stock Blazers (both K & S10s) up those roads in Low Range. Both of these came stock with light truck tires "LT"s
Knowing it’s a rental is good info. The tires are car tires on rentals SUV's I would NOT drive a vehicle like that on these roads.
BTY Sometimes Rental companies will un-hook the 4 wheel drive, I know people who have had to deal with this. One time I read the fine print on a rental form, and it said "vehicles will not be used off of pavement". It's your call, but I would not do it in a solo vehicle.
