Got my cushy, 5-week old stock Toyota Sequoia up goler with no problems last fall ... well, except for the pinstriping ;-). I turned around at Mengle Pass as I thought it was pure folly to think I was going to get my running boards over it intact. I'll swap these out for rock rails before next fall and see you all at warm springs!
You should have no problems with a Suburban of any ilk. This year, the weather has been kind to the canyon roads for the most part so I would not anticipate rugged conditions -- but always check here on this board and with the NPS to be sure.
