Here in Bishop we have had at least seven days when visibility was less than two miles, several days less than a mile.

Below is background on the fire and a link to the fire page:

The 45-year-old woman was arrested at her home in Bakersfield, Calif., Wednesday [for starting the McNally fire in the Sequoia National Forest].

The Forest Service said investigators tracked her down from witness descriptions after she went into a store at the Road's End Lodge on Sunday. She told people at the lodge she had been cooking hot dogs and her campfire had blown out of control.

The woman then fled with her dog. Minutes later, everyone else fled. The building later burned down.
