Smoke in Panamint Valley - South Park Rd. Update

The smoke being generating by the Mc Nally fire is incredible – very thick and making breathing hell in the Panamint Valley.
Just got back from Panamint Valley. There were times Saturday, when you could not see the Panamint Range from the Argus Range or vs. verse. At 11AM, it seemed like sunset because of the orange and red colors being generating by the thick smoke and sun. Everything was a glow with these colors.
South Park Rd. update: Road is in ok shape, but the incline road about 2 miles in is getting worse. It seems someone tried in vein to make it, but only succeeded in making large holes on this incline. Be prepare to do some fill in. When you get up to the high country, there will be no views – smoke.
