If Gene would have stopped at the conclusion of his "thoughtful, rational" statement and personal views about the Surprise Canyon route closure issue, his post would have been relevant. However, when he included a totally unrelated link to his commercial website, all one can conclude is that he hopes to sell stereo equipment to some of the readers. Also, it seems that Gene brought up the "European connection" only so he could brag about his world travels. I will throw Bodie a bone, though. Bodie's negativity surpasses any followup posted to Gene's advertisement.
