McNally Fire - Panamint Valley Smoke

Panamint Valley was socked in with smoke yesterday. As I crested the pass from Searles Valley into Panamint Valley yesterday morning, the visibility in southern Panamint Valley was <3 miles. You could not see Ballarat from the pass, and only the ridge of the Panamints was visible. Since Searles Valley was comparatively smoke-free, I assume that the smoke came into Panamint Valley from the northern end out of Owens Valley. Is there smoke in Death Valley from the McNally Fire?
