I've been visiting DV since 1936; and have had no insect problem in the valley proper, nor at the kilns, 23 Skidoo, Scotty's Castle area, etc. I did have many bites from small flying insects in a wash near Beatty on a hike about 6 years ago. They appeared to be very small flies and not mosquitoes.It was dry at the time. Don
