I was out north of Barstow, and my buddies directed me to The Bottomless Mine. Drop a big rock and no thud. Shining a 1.5 million candle power spotlight revealed at least 500 feet of vertical shaft. I think that there are 50 feet of tumbleweeds that blew into it, softening the impact. Got GPS coordinates if anybody wants 'em
The rest of my stories are half embellishment, the other half flat out lies, and vice versa.
