1996- Jan 15 Sitting at The geologist cabin on the east side(alone) I was savoring the quiet before the storm as my crew was two days behind. I use the excuse that I have to bag a cabin early.I was scared s---less when a kitten jumped on my shoulder and started purring. Thing was 8 weeks old at the most. Hung out with us for 5 days. Last journal entry in any butte cabin was 3 weeks prior and this thing was healthy.
