Once while hiking in the funerals, between Indian Pass and Winters Peak, I saw an old rotten canvas bag sitting in a wash. When I tried to unzip it, it nearly turned to powder from years of sun exposure. Revealed was a black bowling ball. As this is miles and miles from the nearest road, I can only imagine that it was dropped from a low flying plane or that someone was crazy enough to tote a 12 pound bowling ball for seven or eight miles into the middle of the desert for spirtual fulfillment. Ideas?
