I have one of Bob's books. I'm sorry to hear the news. Much like Galen Rowell, Bob was a true outdoor adventurer. Both shall be missed. I was last in Death Valley the last week of May 2002 where the temps were 118 degrees. I will always love the park, hot or cold ~
