Lara Hartley - Serious Accident

I will post up dates here as they become available. Lara is a regular poster here. We need your prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Lara Hartley was seriously injured Sunday Sept 15 and she almost died. She spent several days in intensive care. She has major internal injuries and her left hip is crushed.

A semi truck an trailer ran into her in Barstow after she pulled out of the parking lot at the Route 66 Museum at the old train depot there. She was taken by Life Flight and brought down here for emergency surgery.

The truck had started around her and then it turned into her, impacting on the drivers side door. They had to cut her out of the wreckage.

I talked to her yesterday ( Sept. 23 ) just before they took her back to surgery to operate on her hip and leg.

She was conscious and seemed to be doing alright under the circumstances. Lara was concerned that not many people new about where she had disappeared to or what had happened to her.
