The road conditions don't concern me much. If I find something I don't
want to attempt, I'm willing to turn around. It's just that I've often
read how remote and infrequently traveled this route is. I try to insure
that my rig is good shape, but there is always a chance of some kind of
problem. If we do it solo, we do have a sat. phone just for that reason.
