If the site is where I think it is, unfortunately it would be of much use in Panamint Valley. There is a radio site that is just south of Trona and west of the state highway located on a low ridge. You can see it from the highway. The Trona ham radio repeater is one of the antennas on this tower alng with some other radios, I assume probaby chemical company communications.

If this is the site, it would be too low to go over the Slate Range.

Being a Verizon customer, I sure wish Verizon had the cell site on Rogers Peak instead of Celluar One (or who ever the "A" system phone company is up there). The NPS is very restrictive on development (including antennas) inside parks.
