Right on! Don't forget Barbara Boxer and Bill Clinton. They and DiFi were looking for a legacy and the Desert Protection Act was to be part of it. They know nothing about the desert but gave in to their loyal supporters who (as it has been in most cases) have never been to the desert and find it "icky." They have done the same number on our forests, which they find "boring." I could write a book on the subject but it would only be of interest to true outdoors people who respect our great outdoors, respect themselves and, in turn, respect others. Rarely do you ever see the true conservationalist on the nightly news. You will see the same "conservationalist" saving the trees at one given time, the rocks the next and of course, let us not forget the sky. As soon as the klieg lights dim, they return to the dark shadows to wait to be called upon to "support" the next politically correct policy.
