I believe it was 4th of July, 1990. I had a vehicle without A/C and it was 118 degrees. I stopped at Furnace Creek for a bottle of Gatoraide and got the hell out of there! I was living at Yosemite at the time (Tuolumne Meadows) and couldn't take the heat!
