Everyone has the right to their opinion, and the right to express it. I'll bet Bill Helf is a pretty cool guy in a lot of ways. What bothers me, is that he has co-opted a site that many have enjoyed, and turned it into a soapbox for his personal, right-wing rants. It is no longer enjoyable checking this site to see who he is going to insult today.
Bill Helf is like the lout who farts in a crowded elevator. It smells good to him, so if you don't like it, the problem is yours, not his. Get out and take the stairs.
I did check out his site. It's cool. Why can't he communicate with the spirit of fellowship that we are used to on this site? Aren't there other sites where he can rant about non-desert politics?
