one section in echo canyon was moderatly rough and bothe the Isuzu Trooper and the Mercedes ML made it with no real problems.

The owner of the raised Avalanche was new ot offroading and didn't want to risk any scratches. Plus the section was narrow and tight.

Overall the Mercedes and Trooper were on par for the majority of the trip. The trooper had better articulation, but it never became an issue on the trip. On the washboard roads the ML could be driven quicker because of teh electronics like ESP, 4ETS, etc.

The raised Avalanche had the greatest clearance, but the trucks size was a big disadvantage. Especialy on Lippencott and Steele Pass. A couple of times during the trip I thought we were going to have to turn back. Thinking that the truck would not make it through, but somehow we always managed.
