The Ranch House is the one on the Sierra side of 395, if I remember right. Never been there, but I remember reading in a LA Times Travel section that it was good.
By the way, if you remember PJ's coffeeshop in Lone Pine - it recently got sold and is under a new name. I also have heard that The Merry Go Round is up for sale.
