How to keep warm?

I am going in Death Valley on November 29 and I was wondering what people use to keep the temperature comfortable in their tent? I bought a Coleman Sportcat heater but is there something else beside a propane heater?

my sleeping bags are for around 8C or 45-50F and up to that point I am not so cold but I want to take my precaution just in case it will drop below freezing.
