Gene, what you heard is 50/50. The NPS did razed some of the outbuildings/sheds about 4 years ago. The rest of the camp is still standing and intact, other then the pool which has been drained per-order of NPS due to a rabies scare (long story!). The mine has been Bat Gated to keep the adventurous explorers out, and a informative marker has been placed along side the 'driveway' to the main building. Thanks for the story below, very interesting!
