Going from Teakettle to 190 is pretty easy. There are a lot of side roads, but it is usually quite obvious what the main route is.
As I recall, there is one point where it can be a bit confusing - when you go through a small mining community (on the far side of the Hidden Valley and Ulida Flat). At least I did, but it makes a good place to stop and look around. Unfortunately most of the cabins, etc, have long since been destroyed by either vandals or the park service.
