Personally, I wash my down gear with a little gentle detergent (like woolite) on the gentle cycle, set it to at least double rinse, and then tumble dry on _very_ low heat for a long time. If you can stand the racket, toss a tennis shoe (or similar hard-ish object) in with the down items when you dry them - this will stop the down from clumping.
I would never dry clean a down item - the chemicals get into the down and do bad things.
Gorp recommends hand washing, but I could never be bothered and I've never had a problem using my method.
