Tioga Pass

Since Tioga Pass is still open and since the tourists are gone for the season, it will save you at least 90 minutes, if not more, to go through Yosemite and down 395. It costs $20 for the entrance fee, but it's good for 7 days, so you can come back out that way, as well.
But make sure you leave SF at a time when you won't hit the 580 traffic. Head for Manteca, get on 120, and don't get off until you hit 395. Make sure you gas up no later than Oakdale; the stations in Yosemite may be closed by now.
