Up until recently, I had a 1992 or so vintage Blaupunkt phone that had a "high output" feature (doubled the standard wattage). Never used it in Saline, but had good luck with it in Butte Valley as well as other remote portions of the park. Might try tracking one of these old units down. Hope this helps. Drew.
