Burroweed - or Burro Bush. A member of the Daisy family! Dunno why it's called anything to do with burros as they don't eat it... or Bur-sage which is equally silly as the seed heads really aren't burs, and it isn't a sage. Ambrosia dumosa. Often outnumbers creosotes 10:1 !! Doesn't pay to be little and gray, you get overlooked :-)
