Not knowing exacting what you mean by "North DV", there are many exciting trips. One could go over Hunter Mtn, thru Lost Burro canyon, past Tea Kettle, by Ubehebe, then north around various mining area into Nevada. In the immediate DV/Nevada area are unlimited explorations: Mines, water holes, "Blue Dick" Mtn, occasional wild horses. Or come in from the North from Nevada (plenty fun in Nevada!) and explore the many mining towns and areas. Plan for carrying gas, snow chains, food, warm clothes, and being stuck, because of snow, for extra days. Fun! Fun! Fun!! DD
