Where are great vistas to photograph and good places to eat?

I am visiting Death Valley with a friend Friday Nov. 21 to Sunday the 23rd. My friend and I are photographers. What are "must photograph" locations that have not already been closed by the early snows? I shoot large panoramic images with a digital camera.

I am driving a Jeep Liberty 4 by 4 with a V6 and extra low off road gears. Should I buy chains. Is it really necessary to have two spare tires?

Are there any great places to eat? Any good Sunday Brunch?
