Was out there this weekend. I have been goin out there for the past 15 years, sometimes several times a year and midweek is the way to go. You will always find the self appointed spring keepers, more so at the lower springs than the upper springs. I have always avoided the lower springs because I felt like I got the stink-eye every time we went down to soak. Kind of a "us vs. them" mentality. People have always been frendlier and more accepting by far at the upper spring. To be fair nobody at the lower springs has ever told me that we are not welcome but we just got a bad vibe. I have also noticed the lower springs has got a ton of junk laying around.
The upper seems very open and clean in comparison.
