weather is a factor this time of year and the NWS is calling for a 50 percent chance of rain and snow in the area on the 25th. you could be snowed in.....or out. south pass is currently open and your truck will make it in current conditions....but weather can change at anytime there. bring tons of supplies. if you do get snowed in there, you won't be alone, there are two NPS volunteers with radio contact, but it could be awhile before you get out. ya' just never really know this time of year.
