There's Always Something To Be Thankful For At Christmas!

Whenever I catch myself being unappreciative during the Christmas Holiday, I reflect on the plight of the Death Valley 49ers. Although faced with unimaginable burdens and emanant threat of death, these pioneers paused on that bleak Christmas day 154 years ago to thank God for the Gift of Christ; realizing that His ultimate suffering on our behalf is uncomparable to whatever life on earth can throw our way. Their faith was a beacon, and only by the grace of God were those pioneers able to face the challenge and survive the ordeal. With all of the techical advances since then that make our secular lives so easy, many
contemporaries lack the strong base of faith in God that the 49ers made a large part of their daily life. Please take a moment to say a prayer of gratitude for all that we have to be thankful for this Christmas Season. Merry Christmas and may God bless us all.
