few years ago in nov with snow at the kilns we were almost to thorndyke cg when a BIG mercades was backing down the road. we stopped and ask her the problem. seems she and her husband [looked like a dying man] retired ? general from travis AFB were trying to get to SPW. they had made a wrong turn at wildrose junction.
on july 18 the year the 4 germans disapeared while i was naping at mahogney flats a van with another 4 germans asked how to get to yosemite, they were looking for the shortcut. they had been traveling with only a ca. state map. yosemite at that time was closed due to flooding.
first timmers should only permitted to travel certain roads ie.. titus, echo, and one or two more.
