any new news on north road?

g'day! we've been planning a trip for jan 31 thru feb 3 - does anyone know how far they've got as far as "moving toward the hole" and opening the north road? or the number to reach the DPW manager? we do have 4wd. a few years ago we went in even though it said road closed, although at that time, the road was fine (relatively speaking) thanks for your help, cheers
