Panamint City

I am planning a hiking trip to Panamint City via Surprise Canyon in the middle of March. I just have a couple of questions if someone would be so kind to answer them for me. First, is there drinkable water available near the city site itself ? I have heard that the two springs along Surprise Canyon offer good water but I was curious as to if there was water in the city. Second, how well furnished is the cabin in the city ? It appears to have several beds and a stove. Should I bring more than just a sleeping bag ? Finally, if there's any tips or hints you could share with me, I would be greatly appreciative. I thank you very much for your responce.
