What tripod did you use? I have a hefty Bogen.Manfrotto that must weigh about 8 pounds, yikes! I just got a monopod for the walking trips; and may some day sell the Bogen for a carbon fiber, there are some nice ones that weigh in at 2.5 pounds, but their price makes it seem like 2.5 pounds of gold!
