We just call it the W word and we never say the
whole word. We consider it bad luck and when somebody slips up and says it we all scream at
the person. Isn't it funny how silly little superstitions get started. It is also considered
bad luck if we come into the saline from the south if we don't play the U2 Joshua tree album.
When I come in from the north I always play an
Eagles album. Why I don't know but I feel like
I have to. Do others have any desert rituals
like this?
