I rented a 26 foot RV from an LA area rental place for $79 a day, took it into the springs, had a blast, nothing in the contract about dirt roads, the Saline valley road was no problem as long as I went slow. It took me 3 hours going south pass. I just got back - roads are great, but there wasn't any snow yet
