Ive got an idea - wear a turban and a sheet, carry an AK and speak some Arabic dialect if they catch you and find out...
Seriously - I have had 2 close encounters with the Federales. First time was fishing for stripers on the LA Aqueduct, 20 feet inside an open gate - earned me my first (and hopefully only) misdemeanor arrest, and cost me over 400 bucks in the early 80's. Second time, again in the 80's, I was pulled over (as a civilian passenger) on Edwards for going 55 in a 50 zone. Even with a contractors flightline pass, and being courteous to the AP's, we wound up laying face down in the tumbleweeds with a couple of M-16's to convince us that we WERE comfortable there.
These days, Im willing to bet that for obvious reasons the officials are gonna be watching their fences a lot more closely, and making examples of anyone that crosses those boundaries.
You just gotta ask yourself - is there anything over there thats worth going in for? If so (and Im SURE there is!!) then go, and enjoy...
