we camped two days this week at mesquite, weather was perfect, 10 degrees cooler than the 90s in the sea levels. a litte windy wednesday, nightime, a thin blanket. bathrooms were clean. running water, not too crowded. ten bucks a night. A coyote came up to us at night and started raising holy hell cause we wouldnt give him a steak. he went on for a good minute yipping, howling and barking....and slunk away. then there was the begging roadrunner, who couldn't take his eyes off me wife. then, there was a nice sized rattler by the camp road sunning himself, got good pics of all.
