Camping at Furnace Creek

HI.
I'll be taking the Amtrak from New York City to Reno, then flying from Reno to Vegas, then driving from Vegas to Death Valley. I made my reservations for the Furnace Creek campground. Because of my itinerary, I am bringing with me a small tent, a sleeping bag, some clothes and a toothbrush. I won't have my normal camping gear,(stove, BBQ, coffe pot) but will definetly need to eat. Is there a general store by the campground to buy prepared food or a cheap snack bar. What I am really hoping for is to camp next to some really friendly campers who like to share.
