I recently read about a San Diego OVH'er who was bit last season by a rattler; anti-venom was $30,000!
I recall a shortage of anti-venom last year causing a spike in costs. Does anyone know if the supply has improved for this season?
Also, there is a new rattlesnake vaccination available for dogs. Tests proved success in either fully warding off toxic affects altogether or resulting in dramatically less anti-venom to cure. Requires initial vaccination, followed by a booster, then can be kept up annually. All I've seen is marketing info about this -- anyone know any futher details?
