Animal Crossing

I've seen quite a variety of animals I didn't know existed in the desert, most just literally crossing the road. Do you think its due to the greenhouse effect or global warming? I saw a tarantula, a hog (dead), several snakes (big ones!) right on the road, along with some picas that you usually don't see in such a desert climate. And of course, coytoes.

Perhaps its habitat destruction... any thoughts appreciated.
