Thanks for the info on the access.
Apparently the bus I saw in the Trona junk-yard is a knock-off of the original, despite the artwork on the interior walls. Someone mentioned that the original is buried in a mineshaft somewhere. I have a feeling the NPS pulled it out and scrapped it.
