It was definitely worth doing. I wouldn't be scared by a couple of the descriptions of the 4x4 road that we found on google searches. Some of the descriptions made us very concerned, especially about the camber of the road at one point and how narrow it is - it wasn't a problem for my full-width Bronco.

The Burgess cabin needs a log book! Instead, folks have been using the wooden walls! The half tin and half wood cabin has a dirt floor, a wood burning pot-bellied fireplace, the roof is NOT watertight (lots of light holes peeking thru), and the walls have plenty of spaces for wind to pass thru as well. It is NOT in danger of falling over soon, but its not a sturdy cabin by any means. We opted not to camp near the cabin, as it is at the top of the pass and the wind was howling, and the cabin provides litttle windbreak, as it is oriented in the wrong direction.

Unfortunately, not alot of artifacts around, but we didn't search for too long either. Don't know for sure if the cabin has been adopted, but I believe it has.
