It goes 2.25 miles SE up a 6% grade. Technically it WAS open to the military border -- until earlier this month when the BLM adopted the new NEMO Route Designation plan.
Although the plan map below shows it as now closed, under the brand new BLM Desert District Signing Policy, they are not going to put up a closed sign. We're just going to have to know that it is closed.
