This was taken atop Mt Wrightson, at ~9500 ft the highest peak in the Santa Ritas, S of Tucson. Behind me is Mt Hopkins, and you can barely see it, but the little white dome on that mountain is home to an Observatory owned by the U of Arizona. I am a telescope engineer, currently working for the University of California, Berkeley.
