Hadrurus spadix or Hadrurus obscurus, probably male, not very agressive, sting equivalent: bee

Hadrurus spadix is found throughout Mojave desert, including Death Valley, Hadrurus obscurus is found in Inyo, Kern, Fresno, San Benito, San Bernardino, Imperial, and Tulare counties.

It's very difficult to distinguish between these two species.
