This photo is from the area 'above' Steel Pass, from the western slopes of the Last Chance Range, looking towards Eureka Valley.
I love that NW corner of the park. Saline is awesome, as are the surrounding mountains, flats, and smaller valleys. Dropping down to the Eureka dunes through Dedeckera Canyon after cresting Steel Pass... the view of Racetrack over the peaks, looking down from the old mine trails south of Ulida Flat...
Further South, all of DV from atop the Chloride Cliffs, or Telescope Peak...
And then of course Butte Valley.
My last journey took me up Echo Canyon into the Funeral Mountains - I have much more exploring to do in that area, but the road through to Lees Camp was a blast.
