Sho'nuff is Hot !!!!

Just got back from DV.... Man was it hot out there. My daughter and I drove to Mahognay Flat, arriving at 5PM on Sat 7/12. Hiked to Archane Meadows where we spent the night, beautiful full moon. Began hiking to Telescope, made the peak by 8AM. Even at 11,000+ feet it was warm, estimate 75 - 80 degrees. Could see forever!! This was my daughter's first 11,000 foot'er. Made it back to Mahognay before noon, was 95 degrees there. Drove to Panamint Springs to spend the night, was only 115 degrees there with a slight "breeze"!!! We had a great trip, but for those who aren't prepared or are not experienced with extreme heat - BE CAREFUL... We used 5 gallons of water between us on the hike to Telescope!!
